TAXATION
Our team at Edictum Law has extensive experience in handling matters relating to taxation laws. Our Team has assisted and represented several Clients, across various forums, on matters involving issues relating to Direct Tax and Indirect Tax. Our team also provides services of financial management, reconciliation, and tax compliance to the Clients. Our team has dealt with issues ranging from (i) exemption from capital gains on transfer of a capital asset by the holding company to its subsidiary company, (ii) to challenging orders of Income-tax Settlement Commission rejecting settlement applications, (iii) handling appeals against additions of alleged unexplained cash credits and investments, and subsequent re-opening of completed assessments in absence of incriminating material found during the search, (iv) handling appeals against additions on the basis of Remand Reports requisitioned by Commissioner of Income Tax from the Assessing Officers without furnishing the same to the Assessee, (v) seeking a waiver of pre-deposit of tax under the Central Excise Act.
EDUCATION
Our team at Edictum Law extensively represents educational institutes including private unaided schools as well as universities providing professional degrees in India. We have successfully represented Sanskriti School before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court in matters pertaining to admissions, fees and such other related issues from time to time. With respect to the areas of cartel, our team has a rich experience in handling various aspects of cartel investigation and litigation, including, collating information, defending cartel complaints, representing before the Regulator, and filing leniency petitions under the leniency regime.
